1.          Welcome and introductions–

  1. 2.                  Reflection, prayer– Linda helped us reflect on “…on accompaniment” – each read and reflected… a theology of accompaniment – being with the other – breaking down barriers. It is an intentional act (road to Emmaus). Personal reflections were offered. Next reflections in April 11?
  2. 3.                  Minutes were approved
  3. 4.                  Treasurer’s Report:   Gerry went to bank and got service charge money replaced. (Almost back to $200.00)
  4. 5.                  Correspondence:  from Megan Leslie

Old business

a.   Margaret Sagar had passed on info regarding the AST books in memory of Sister Helen Ralston. Maybe have a gathering when books put on display. Maybe ask all the interested parties sponsor such gathering.

b.   Event Feb. 16 Kyoto accord (library) – C of C, 3 Kairos, students present.

c.   World Water Day and local initiatives regarding “Ban the Bottle”.

d.   Letters: in support of… Occupy Nova Scotia… approve the letter of support as adapted. Overview of the meeting with Occupy at St. David’s. Send to Occupy for publicizing, plus to any other groups.

e.   Fracking Letter – requesting moratorium – as adapted approved. Send to Province, Energy, Environment , Opposition parties , other groups and other ways to publicize.

      f.    Truth Reconciliation and Equality: -actions/BoatHarbour. Pictou Landing First Nations turned down the 3M offer… study being done on effects at the local level. Need help financially. Gathering planned (watershed alliance) maybe in April. Maybe Kairos Atlantic might help fund.

New Business:  –          Kairos national – “Women of Courage” – Maritimes in June

  1. Announcements friends United Art Exhibit – Aboriginal art display at city hall until April 16. Showing of the video “Frontrunners” at St. David’s March 20, at 7 pm.

    Kairos cluster will meet on Wednesday April 11th, 1:30 at Barat Residence.
